Accessibility and inclusiveness

JUNKER THOUGHT ABOUT IT!

The version of Junker currently online has been completely redesigned and rebuilt to be updated with the most modern technologies available.

This also led to a renewed focus on usability and intuitiveness for the categories to be protected: the deaf, non-digital natives, and the elderly.

The guiding principle for Junker is that since waste separation is everyone’s duty, no one excluded, then everyone, absolutely everyone, must be able to use the app to eliminate doubts and errors and do it well.

Junker explained to the hearing impaired

The Municipality of Ancona has created the video that was missing: Junker explained in sign language. This initiative is not only commendable, but also a necessary gesture for all those with hearing impairments who, like everyone else, struggle with waste separation.

Junker sincerely thanks the Municipality of Ancona and Anconambiente (the municipal waste management company for the municipalities of Ancona, Fabriano, Serra de’ Conti, and Sassoferrato) for their remarkable insight.

Junker speaks 14 languages!

To cater to areas with a strong tourist vocation and those with large foreign communities, Junker is fully translated into 13 other languages.

The app is available in Italian, English, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Simplified Chinese, Slovenian, Portuguese, Friulian, and Sardinian.
